Exploring coaching supervision in Supervision garden

Supervision Garden is a free ebook created as an invitation to explore coaching supervision through stories, reflections, questions, and lived experience of colleagues supervisors.

This edition brings together contributions from 12 supervisors representing different countries, professional backgrounds, and supervision approaches. Each colleague shares their own understanding of supervision, shaped by practice, learning, professional experience, and personal journey.

The ebook also includes an overview of supervision competencies and pathways across ICF, EMCC, and AC, together with reflective questions for readers who wish to explore their own relationship with supervision.

At the heart of this project is curiosity about how supervision is experienced in practice. What draws people to this work? What continues shaping them? What helps supervisors remain reflective, ethical, and fully present in their practice?

The garden metaphor appeared naturally while creating this ebook. As contributions began arriving, I found myself imagining a colourful bouquet. Different flowers, textures, colours, scents, and seasons coming together. Each colleague brings something unique, while together their reflections create a rich arrangement of perspectives on supervision.

This ebook is the first in a series of future explorations of coaching supervision. My hope is that it offers something useful to all practitioners who are interested in the ongoing development of our profession.

You are warmly invited to step into the garden, explore the reflections shared here, and notice what stays with you.
