Experience Mentor Coaching

Who am I as a mentor coach?

I offer mentor coaching for coaches working towards any of the three ICF credential levels, ACC, PCC or MCC, or renewing their credential.

Coaches I mentor often tell me that coaching can feel artificial when they’re trying to meet all the ICF expectations, especially when recording a session. They don’t feel like themselves. Their attention goes to what they should ask or demonstrate, and it becomes harder to coach in their own way.

I’ve experienced this too. As a non-native English speaker, I found it especially difficult to think about the competencies, find my words and stay in the conversation. Listening to recordings and working with my mentors helped me find language I could use naturally. I know it takes practice, and I know it is possible.

Mentor Coaching with me…

I work with coaches to understand the ICF competencies and embed them in their own coaching style. Together, we explore authentic ways of asking questions and responding to clients that meet the requirements for the credential level they are working towards.

I am an ICF Master Certified Coach, a trained assessor for ACC, PCC and MCC, and hold the ICF Mentor Coach Specialization. I bring both a mentor’s and an assessor’s perspective to listening to your work and offering competency-based feedback.

We listen to your recordings, recognise what is already evident and identify what needs further attention. We look at specific moments, consider what else might have been possible, and try questions in your own words. The intention is for the competencies to become part of how you coach, in language and ways of working that feel like yours.

How we can work together:

Individual mentor coaching

Focused work with your recordings, competency-based feedback and opportunities to practise.
Group mentor coaching

Working with real examples and coaching practice, we explore the competencies, exchange observations and feedback, and learn together from different coaching styles.
